I've fished the bear river for cats and eyes for years and always wondered how good the fishing for LMB could be? Well...all my wondering is done. I fished the bear river in cache valley near benson monday. I caught 7 bass in 2 hours...a couple were pretty darn nice i'd say about 3 lbs.. or right close! I was throwing a sinko along the reeds in still areas and eddies and I was so amazed. I probably missed 3 or 4 others and even had a carp swim up and take it! I think i'm a bear river bassman now...and i'm going back tomorrow night! Sorry the pics are a little screwy I had to put my camera on timer!

I think I know exactly where you are. I need to pull myself away from Idaho for a minute and give it a try. That's right on my way to and from work, so I really need to give it a try. Very nice fish.
