Got up this morning to meet Mom and Dad at the boat ramp at 7:00a.m.. Got the boat ready to go and I backed him down the ramp. When he went to pump the fuel bulb up gas shot out of the fuel line so we pulled up the ramp and out the way so somebody else could launch. After closer inspection I guess the fuel line got piched between the motor and the trasom when he raised it and put a hole right through the fuel line. emoBang So off we went in search of a new fuel line or a barbed conector to fix the old one. We found a new line at the baitshop down the road and got it all fixed up. We ran up to the dam and in the trash hole by the wing wall to cast net some threadfin shad. Had all we needed in two cast actually more then our bait tank could hold I even had a few HUGE crappie mixed in one of which probably was over 1 1/2 lbs!! We rigged up and started drifting by 8:30 and I was hooked up on the second drift it was about a 12lb drum. Next drift up hooked into a good striper probably went about 15lbs (we had no scales). We caught stripers all the way up to 11am when they shut off. I think we caught 10 or 11 stripers all together ranging from about 8lbs to about 20lbs and a couple drum and catfish mixed in. My mom and I had a double header at one point and my dad was scrambling around trying to get the robogrips LOL. We had a couple get unhooked and one that broke my hook right behind the bard. We all caught fish and had a great time. It was a great first trip in my dad's new boat!! I hope the pics are ok they were taken on my cell phone.
