Ok, so I just got back from eastern sierra fishing trip.
What can i say? well it was great.
It was my first time float tubing and fly fishing
for trout and I just hammered them!!! My last day
I got about 20 of them (All released , did not want
to mess with that )
and lost about 10 more. It was great and Im still shaking
from it.
On my second day on lake convict I went way back
and the weather changed and I got caught is some good
size wind, rain,little hail,and about 18'' waves.It was a little
scary but the SFC did really good in it and i felt
very safe in it (wet and cold but safe).
I cant wait to go back for some more.[fishin]

NICE. What are you using, an 8 weight?

Sounds fun, makes me want to get out there and try it, only to get skunked! Love the scenery shot.

It is 7wt because of the wind in the afternoon (15-20
mph gust).I know that 7wt is a little to heavy but
it sure worked realy good with that sinking line
and wind.
Also that is what I use for bass fishing. 5wt is coming
my way (ordered from cabelas).

No biggie on the rod. What ever works, I just noticed the fighting butt.

[#008000]Hi there Peter - looks like we were fishing the ES about the same time. I was in the Bishop Creek area and didn't need my cat. Browns, bows and brookies were the order of the day. They were small wild fish [except the bows] but fun on a 2 wt. Needless to say that the water was a bit cool at 42ยบ.[/#008000]
