I went to west point lake this weekend to camp and fish, ...and get saturated with rain. Fishing was slow at best. We didn't catch a single fish over 2lbs. had a few nice ones get away at the boat. We fished toads which were at best only semi productive. We fished senkos, jigs, rattl-traps, cranks, spinners, and swimbaits and they didn't do much better. We mostly fished points with blowdowns in 2-14 ft of water, shoals and dropoffs nearby points, and some rip rap. Water temp was between 67-72 which Perry said was down 7 degrees from a week ago. This is where we found the fish but due to the weather I think they just were not very cooperative. I ruined my phone in the down pours and will not pick up service now.emoBang And afterwards I didn't want to take the good camera out and risk the same thing so I don't have any pics, besides they were just mostly little spots and two LM's. I hope everyone who went out this weekend had a more fruitful and drier fishing than I did. You guys could go back home and get dry, I got to hang out in the rain. Whether I was in the camper or not it was still wet.emoRain emoRain emoRain
