Hey, We fished Salmon Falls Res all weekend. We did better than expected. I heard the Bass fishing was really slow and so was the walleye fishing. I heard wrong. We fished for both speices and did surprisingly well. On the North end of the lake the water was a lot clearer and we did well on crawdad color crankbaits for smallmouth. On the southern end of the Res. we tried throwing cranks but the bass just were not hitting them so we moved to jigs and caught some respectable smallies. White and chartreuse were the ticket. As for walleye, we fished south of Nortons and found fish on the finder and just used the electric to keep over them and did well using a chartreuse jig tipped with a worm. My dad even caught the biggest one we have ever caught out of there, at a respectable 21". Hmmmm sweet fillets! Had a wonderful weekend up there. Too bad I usually only get one time a year to head up there!

Good job! I am glad you had some luck. I have fished for bass and found the largest to be up by Antelope bay. Caught one 18 in. I think the Walleye fishing is just now starting to get good. I went to Oakley Res.(Goose Creek) and did real good for both trout and walleye.
