I just joined BFT so that I could return the favor of updating you all on the fishing in SE Idaho. I appreciate all the up to the minute info, so I don't have to waste my time fishin where they ain't bitin (like Twin Lakes a couple weeks ago). [fishin]

Even though Twin was slow, I got my limit of rainbows at Deep Creek on May 11th and 18th. Nearly all the fish were in the 14" range. I may try Twin again tomorrow. Hopefully the BG and LMB are moving into the shallows by now.
I was at Twin Lakes on Saturday, (May 23), and we caught about 6 bass and tried to avoid the bluegill. If you fish the cover, you'll find fish. I did catch a pretty nice crappie which was a nice bonus.

Welcome to the forum. Glad that you joined us. What were using at Deep Creek?

I was trolling with a sinking Rapala (just about any color will do). I have tried just about every crank bait in my tackle box, but the Rapala out-fishes them all 10 to 1.

I was at Twin on Saturday also. We were just stopping in to visit some family who were camped there, but I thought I would toss in my line. I caught three largemouth from 10-16" on a motor oil slug-go in about ten minutes. The largest had quite the gut. Unfortunately I had put my camera away because a rather nasty storm was welling up. And yes, the bluegill are everywhere. I could feel them yanking on my slug-go's tail. I'm thinking of heading back this Saturday with my tube to really hit it thoroughly.
