I put my boat on PaliSades this afternoon, fished from 3:00 PM until 6:00PM caught 2 small cutts. I trolled in 20 to 50 feet of water, fishing at 20 to 30 feet with Rapalas and Panther Martins. I was trolling real slow to slow iby the dam and the cliffs in Bear creek. Any advise for more success?

PaliSades is one of those lakes where if you catch it on a good day, it can be great. Other times it can be very frustrating. It holds a lot of fish, a lot of forage, but due to flucuating water levels the fishing can be great one day, and suck the next. It seems you were doing what has worked in the past, at least for me. I would try trolling at 1.8 to 2 mph, especialy with rapalas. Try varying your speed when you have fish on the graph, longer set backs, or try drinking more, then you dont care if the fishing is slow !!

You might do better in the morning. This time of year I like to hit it around 5:30-6:00am. Usually have my limit by 8-9:00am even after throwing a few back. Only problem is the wind. It usually blows down the reservoir towards the dam in the morning and it can be quite choppy until about 9:00am.
