On your way, stop at Wal-Mart and get a bag of 10 white marabou jigs. [size 1]
[#000000][size 3]Use them with or without a bobber.
Fish the entire area around you and watch for fish to be holding right close to shore.
Try several depths to locate active fish.
For Crappie, you may want to tip the jig with a piece of crawller or wax worm.
Ask others around you what is working.
Most folks at Willard and nice and will give tips.
Have a great day,
DKS.

I will be there in the morning late and I will be alone in my boat if you would like to jump in. Look for a sparkly green Nitro bass boat and give me a hollar. I will be putting in the south marina. I have a appt. at 9am and then I will be off to willard. I should be there by 10:30-11:00.

Not sure what time I'll make it up there tomorrow. I'll bring a FRS radio and have it on channel 7.
I'll launch at the North Marina and get off the water around 3pm to check into my campsite.
I will also be alone, in a not sparkly bow rider Bayliner. Blue and White.

I'll be out there in a white starcraft deep v with two others and myself. Hope the bite is still on!

I'm not sure about all of Utah's lakes but most of the ones I fish have that rule, no fishing from the docks is standard everywhere isn't it? It just makes sense, the docks are for dropping off and picking up. If someone is fishing on the dock where you want to drop someone off at, it is hard to use[shocked]. WH2

Willard starts to enforce the dock regs about Memorial Day till Labor Day.
When there are not many boats, they kind of look the other way.
I would not want to chance a ticket for fishing there myself.

well i was there on memorial day weekend and there were over thirty people on every dock and ramp including the one to the private dock so they must not care that much [:p]

what is the prob with fishin off the docks? a lot of fish hold up around them and some people don't have the luxury of fishing out of a boat! So to fish a little deeper water and structure that the docks provide, us poor shore tanglers have to take any advantage we can get! if a boat needs the spot we can easilly take shanks pony's and move!!!

I have to agree with eyechaser.
If there is a sign that explicitly says "No Fishing". Don't fish off the docks...
But... If there isn't, I don't see what the problem is. With that said though, if you do decide to fish off the docks you should be respectful to people docking / un-docking and stay alert and out of people's way.
