so i went up there with my buddy and i for the first time today and we got there kinda early on account that we had no idea how to get there cause the GPS didn't have it on there. We were finally on the water about 8 wich is way to late but oh well. We saw over a dozen tigers and had a couple follow us to the boat my buddy finally caught on around ten and that was the only fish to the boat.

And then there were the [#ff0000]Edited [/#ff0000]wake boarders what disrespectgul little [#ff0000]Edited[/#ff0000]. we were trying to get off the water and they didnt even have the considersation to slow down near the boat lauch. they were doing cookies within a 100 feet of the ramp. I cant wait until someone gets hurt hopefully them and they make the whole lake no wake what a joke those guys dont deserve to use that lake at all.

Did you fish for Bass at all??? and next question is how do I get there??? I-15 North to where???

take the brigham city exit and head to logan you will actually go through logan and its in like south smithview or smithton or some shit. there will be signs but there is absolutly no no wake zone so be prepared to deal with jackass's while launching your boat and there is no dock so its kind of a pain if your by yourself.

Thanks for the directions.... Hopefully there wont be anyone on the water monday...... Did you try for bass at all??

If you do that logan route, in the town of logan I think it's like 200N, not 100% on that but turn left due west and you should be on a highway 30. Then turn north when you hit this highway 23 road. Go to the end of that and there will be signs. Bass beds are on[Wink].
thanks for the info....

Here is the quickest way to Newton Res.. Stay on I-15 past Tremonton to the Hwy 30 (Riverside, Garland, Logan) exit, head east to Logan on Hwy 30. As you get to the bottom of the hill in Cache Valley take Hwy 23 (6000W) North (left, If you get to the marshes you have went too far). Stay on 23 for a ways until you get to a stop sign in the town of Newton, turn right, then follow the signs to the res.

Alternate: If you want to cut a few minutes, get off I-15 at the Hwy 13 exit (Elwood, Garland). Take Hwy 13 North to Hwy 30 in Riverside, then catch Hwy 30 as stated above.

Good Luck

Yes, there's that route too, I didn't time them but I do prefer the freeway as long as possible. DO NOT speed down highway 30 even though it's almost irresistable. Saw an ambush yesterday.

yes sir mr hunter, the ski boats at newton are atrocious. I think I would use your exact words to describe them. I grew up in Smithfield, so I've had a good taste of it all my life. Saw one yesterday that might rival the newton ski boat factor: Willard Bay!!!!! That place is as big as the pacific ocean and for some reason they all think they need to be skiing 10 feet from the bank. And if you're trolling along on that path, they'll play chicken until about 100', and barely grease around the side of ya. I can't wait for one of them to go skiing right up that dike/bank and see if they still think it's so neat.

I hate them. Even though it's way closer to my house, I find myself ignoring Newton in favor of other places so that I don't have to deal with the morons. I'm considering investing in a paintball gun that I can pack along in float tube. I'm taking Newton back! [:p]
