hit up the river sunday(was goin to hit the lake but my friend couldnt make it so decided to just make a quick trip) my first spot and my best stop started off great with to cats. one 12 inches and the other 22inches(thought the 22 inch was a carp at first , it keep pulling out drag then i realized that my drag was out of whack, quick fix and got her in) she was full of eggs so there about to start breeding. i had 2 lines set up for cats. i got the 12 inch on shrimp and the 22 inch on white bass meat. it didnt take long till i got unwanted guest with there loud music and kids that take up every spot possible with just there lines and no poles. i got really pissed when i was walking back to the truck to go to another spot when i looked in there bucked and noticed a 5 inch cat. what the hell r u goin to get out of something that small. i hate it when they fish they keep everything no matter how big or small it is. so got to my second spot and wasnt there long. i was throwing a grub and got a white bass right off. then everyone thinks they have to crowd my area. i made on couple leave when i almost hit them with my rod while casting. they told me i should be more carefull and whatch where i was casting and i told them maybe they should have respect and not crowd another persons spot. that was all i got. i left around 1130 1200 (gets to much heat by ppl. all and all i injoyed it and got me some dinner just keeped the big cat thats all i was goin to eat. next time im taking my tub and goin on the lake ( nobody can crowd me that way)

Thanks for the report! Sounds like you had some decent luck. Too bad people don't have more respect and better ethics. The small cat they kept....was it a bullhead or channel? The reason I ask is because I had a friend. He was asian and his wife would take these little fat bullheads about ten inches and cook an asian dish that was absolutely amazing! However we never kept anything that small in channels, just bullheads. If you know anyone who is of asian decent ask them if they have a way to cook the small bullheads. I promise you won't be dissapointed!

no it was a channel and they were asain. my 12 inch that i caught was though but i released it.

bullheads (muds) are great just deep fried ! just clean them like a trout gut and cut head @ tail and skin then chop the whole thing into 3 or 4 pieces bread and frie ! they have a really good nutty flavor
