So, anyone who has been up there in the last few days, if you could answer any of these questions, I would appreciate it:
What is the water level looking like? Is it filling up or filled up?
What is the water temp?
How is the water clarity in the Rock Cliff arm--particularly in the no wake area?
Has anyone been picking up smallies with any consistency yet?
Basically want to know if it is turning on yet or if I should keep waiting. Thanks!

I was out there sunday and it was still slow. Water temp in the arm was anywhere from 55 to 59. Clarity I'd say was about 5 to 6 feet. There is A LOT of debri in the water so it's still filling up. We talked to quite a few people on the lake and they had the same report. We never made it all the way to the wakless area. I would give it another week or two before it starts heating up.

Was up there last 2 saturdays tried EVERYTHING. brought in a few one pretty good size ( crank bait - perch) but it was very slow-hopefully a couple of more warm weeks will pick it up. If you try let us know how you do-good luck.

The river looked like normal flow last saturday. Now, the problem is the north wind coming in the afternoons. It most likey won't be getting any higher. I was told last week that water was being run down to Deer Creek more than normal. So, water levels shouldn't be getting much higher. That being said, we should see everything stabilizing very soon.

I wonder why they would be running even more water to DC. Last time I passed by it was brim-full. The river is running pretty high in the canyon, but UL is pretty well full too. Filling up the GSL? Anyway, thanks everyone for the info, if anyone else has anything to add I am all ears.

Cliff, you were at east canyon on saturday. I watched you launch your boat at 6 am and leave at 2pm... so how could you catch 20 fish before 1pm at jordanelle if you were at east canyon??? Something smells fishy, but not like real fish.

I was up to Rock Cliffs this morning. Jordanelle is full. The water clarity is better than it was last year at this time but still somewhat murky. Water temps varied from 57.8 to 61 degrees. As is expected this time of year, there is a fair amount of floating debris in the water. It probably will be about one more week before it takes off. FWIW, Deer Creek is about 5 degrees warmer and the fish are showing their approval, (if one is into 10-12 inch smallies[Wink]).
