I am headed up to the Blind are the last week in June- 1st July and was wondering if anyone Knew what the conditions were? We were using Quads to get in to Fish Cr, but I was not sure if we could get over to Blind with them as I have only fished the south end of Blind (And had some great luck I might Add Smile)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am coming from a little ways away... Man I miss home...

Conditions should be great - roads are muddy now but should dry out by the time you get there (assuming our rainy weather eventually stops).

Some people try to ride 4-Wheelers into Blind but they aren't supposed to. Keep them on the designated roads. You can ride them to Fish Creek, no problem, and to the trailhead for Blind.

Those roads are always rough, serious 4-wheel-drive routes. But that's ok because it helps keep the mountain from being overrun.

Yes- it's an easy hike from the trailhead into Blind- use it.

Definitely follow the the advice given on the ATV rules up there. It won't take many breaking the rules until those who are fighting VERY hard to get ATV's banned on the Boulder out-right to have the ammunition they need. The hike to Blind isn't bad.

My understanding is that the Fish-Dix national Forest is FINALLLY doing something about the rampant ATV abuse on the Boulder Mountain. For years, and years, and years there has been 0 enforcement on ATV use on that mountain. A new management plan has been instituted, and one of the big areas of concentration will be enforcement. If you plan on riding your ATV in areas that are closed to motorized travel you should expect to get a ticket.

Walk to Blind. There isn't a legal ATV trail to the lake, from any direction.
