SO... I was talking with some of the locals here in somewhere Afghanistan about fishing, I actually gave them a fishing rod and misc tackle (winning the hearts and minds). They told me of the methods of catching fish here, pretty basic really first start with a net, pretty basic throughout history... if that don't work try some explosives, (whatever is on hand will do). and if you're the more patient type of fisherman try electricity!!! A little more technical expertise needed here.
Utah is so behind the times here, I think you all need to go to the RAC meeting and suggest a change to the next fishing proclamation.
I'll keep you up on my adventures here and I wanted to let you know I'll be trying a new technique that involves a lot of skill, Chinese Throwing Stars....

That is pretty funny. What species of fish could one expect to find in Afghanistan?

I'm no expert on all the fish here but you could expect to find (and this may come as a shock) Carp! some trout, catfish of different varieties, and there are some little silverish fish kinda like a white bass that's pretty common.
But again I'm no expert and my attention is mainly focused on catchin' the bad guys, or finding ways of acquiring/making alcohol.
I think I'm going to try and come up with an invention that keeps all this god awful dust from blowing around. I could make at least a hundred dollars.
