[green]Went fishing at Silver Lake yesterday with a buddy. It was his first time there and he enjoyed the scenery.
We caught 2 small browns, one was so tiny I let him go. The second wasn't that grand, about 8 or 9" but swallowed the hook so bad we had to keep him... He'd make a small munchie for my dogs, so all is well [bobhappy]
All in all it was fun, we were there for about 2½ hours but had to leave when a storm rolled in and pelted us with hail.
It was a bit chilly there still, and there was still snow ont he ground and parts of the trail. But the fishing is ok, and the scenery is just beautiful.
Might want to wait a few more weeks to let it that more though [bobhappy]
It probably is not the best place for the avid fisherman, as the fish are kind of small, but it is a great place to take kids fishing, because it is easy to walk around the lake, there are little fish so the kiddies can learn, and there are easy trails up around the lake if you want to experience nature [bobhappy]
And that is my 2 cents.
