so I think Im done with my cuda300 istall.
I went with the shorter transduser boom so to
clear my fly rod holder. The monitor is attached
to the fly rod holder and battery box with battery
is inside the pocket. All hardware is stainless steel
and brass. Transduser boom can go up and down.
I will take it out on the water on monday and see
how it works.
what do u guys think?

RIGHT ON! Nice and clean. I really like the idea of mounting the rod holder on the side of the mount. That took some major smarts.....
I have a bunch of those mounts and I would have never thought of that.

I see cat wants fish for dinner[cool]

[cool][#0000ff]Looks good to me. Very creative.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The big question will be how does it fish and does it perform the way you want it to? I am guessing that if you are like most of us you will keep tinkering with your original design.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Question: Were you letting your cat watch the little fishy icons on the demo mode?[/#0000ff]

hey guys
thank you for your responds.
I will keep plaing with it until it works just fine, but
if you think something could be done before I even
take it out on the water , then please let me know.

And yes my cat loves to "help"me all the time, his
just so cool[Wink].

so I was able to go fishing today and try out my new
cuda300. It worked very nice as far as I can tell.
Im very happy with it. I was on water about 12 hours
with one one hour break and the battery went from
12.5v to 12.4v for the all day!?!? Its a 5amp battery.
Only 0.10 volt people [shocked]
Anyways, laters Peter.

Nice setup Peter.
You have come up with a very compact and clutter free arrangement.
Thx for posting the photos and description.

That's some nice work. I'm really into craftsmanship and finish, and making your mods look clean and professional. I like the use of webbing, I have pondered that a lot.

Thank guys, Im glad you like it.
There is a large 1.5" stainless steel washer at the inside
of the webbing that stops the skimmer boom from
moving side to side. Then I put tin piece of bubber on
top of the washer and bolt that is going thrue it so its not rubbing into the tube cover. There is just a nuff pressure
on that bolt so the boom can go up and down and stay up or down if I need
to clear something (landing at the shore and staff like
that).

I like the way you think Peter.

Here is my H3 from about 3 years agao:

My transducer is mounted on square aluminum tube (for my pontoon) so I use an older tube mount for a Fishin' Buddy, which is just Large PVC pipe with straps around it then a long strap for around the tube.
I mounted the Screen on a tube mount Scotty rod holder also, but came up through the cup holder hole of the bag to hold it better in one spot.
Then I use the rod holder on the other side for the second rod I carry (always, one floating and one sinking - fly rods)

Then a thin small battery.

NICE AND CLEAN!

I am a little spoiled, I have this tube, plus two 4' pontoons and the new Outlaw....which means I just sold two others...LOL The 11 1/2 foot pontoon and the 9' V toon.

I think the Outlaw is all I will need in the future, even in the Uintas...It can pack up small.
