Put in at HBSP this morning around 10 and fished till the storm hit around 1. Fished deep areas from 15-25 feet. Nothing spectaclar but did hook up on two Lm that would go 2-2.5 lbs. Also had 3 just keeper spots and lost several more small fish and one that would go 1.5-2 lb. The highlight of the day was finally seeing bait on the Bass " condos" I sunk back in the winter. Ive checked them several times this year and its been a ghost town. Today the bait was thick. One of the 2 1/2 lbers came from the spot and had one other tug on the line but never hooked up. The wind got pretty bad and made it tough to fish the area so Ill try it again another day. Just as I was pulling up on my third spot of the day I heard a rumble in the distance so I just hightailed it back to the ramp and just beat the rain. Nothing picture worthy today. I did take a pic of one of the fish just because its tail was still bloody and scared form fanning. I think he must have been a late spawner. Nice day on the water and one of the few days that I've been and the ramp wasn't already full.
