Good morning everyone, I was just curious as to how the weather is affecting the fishing over here in East Idaho, particularly in the south east corner, Preston area. Has any one fished any of the res. lately to know if the pan fish are picking up or is the weather have them kinda at a stand still.
Post up Id love to hear if its worth heading south with the weather or not.

Before all this rain I hit Twin and the bluegill were ridiculous. I was fishing for bass and they were ripping the slugos off my hook. They were thick in the flooded brush. I haven't fished any bluegill waters since the rain, but the larger bass have definitely gone deeper and are taking a bit more work to get. I have found active perch though.

just got back from oneida, and compared to the last time i fished it before the rain it sucked. We fished for smallies, for the first hour and only caught 2 about 6 inches, then we tried smaller stuff for the gills and caught 2, then I remembered you had been catching the perch, so i changed it up and slowed down and fished for perch or eyes and only caught one and one other bite. Really slow for 5 hours of fishing, My wife got tired of fishing so she started shooting carp, she got about 5 but the water is so muddy that they were pretty hard to see. Not worth the drive for me!!
man, sorry to hear... we where just up there the other day and done very good.... just goes to show good one day and not the other i guess... better luck next time....
