Got on the water around 6:15ish and fished on the North end on the points. Water was surprisingly dirty but the surface temp was 58*. I couldn't catch a thing where I caught them the weekend before so away I went to the next spot. A couple minutes later I caught a 16 5/8" smallie that won me bragging rights and twenty bucks for our little "who's first bass will be the biggest contest". Good times. Between the three of us we probably boated around 25-30? smallies. Averaging 11-14" The flow of the Provo river inlet has slowed but it's still about 53* water temp in the river channel out in the lake. I had a smallmouth roughly 6-7 lbs. attack my stickbait right as I was about to lift it out of the water in the channel. It scared the crap out of me when it's whole body broke the surface but it was amazing! I never had a chance of catching it but it was still neat too see.
Highest water temp was 60.3* [Smile] . Most were caught on my stickbaits and dropshot.

Is there still alot of flotsam in the water up in the Rock Cliffs arm? I was thinking about going in the morning, but I don't like to dodge logs in my float tube.

Most of the floaters have found a home snagged in some brush next to the shoreline. There were still a couple trees floating out in the main body. As long as you don't go faster than about 20 mph you shouldn't have any problems dodging floaters [Wink].

Thanks for the help. Now if the weather will hold.

[fishin] Is this the kind of set up you have been using. I am sure it was a different color and stick bait but is this how you set it up?? or did you do somthing different..

I stayed in the northend the whole day. I gambled. Nuttin but dinks. I caught them on stickbaits and cranks. Gulp zeroed for the first time(are the fish getting wise?). It was cool getting rained on. Once the rain hit my bite died but I was toasty dry.

I went Monday and stayed in the east end of the lake and didn't have much luck. Caught 5-6 smallies and one nice brown.
