Well I wish I had some good news, we just got home from an all day trip and we caught mabey 8-10 fish between six of us. Granted my 4 boys are very new to fishing and still learning but I had hoped the bluegill would be hungry. you could see them swimming around with the bass but felt tightlipped I guess.I'm hoping for a week of warmer weather soon.

Well dont feel bad, two of us spent all day between glendale and twin and caught 2 huge gills and 1 crappie at glendale and one nice bow at twin. Some ppl were catching lots of small gills and keeping some but for the most part, not a lot happening. and ya, you could see them all over, some nice looking ones but would not take the hook. I just think this weather has them all messed up and the water in both twin and glendale is highest ive seen it in years which doesnt help any.
Hope for weather to clear up some time soon so we can get back to some reall fishing.

I think it's definitely the weather. I was at Twin right before all this rain got going, and the bluegill were insane. I was fishing for bass mainly, and they kept ripping the soft plastic jerkbaits I was using off the hook. I watched some of them chomp it down bite by bite, until the lower third of the lure was in their mouth, and then they would take off with it. Hopefully they'll get active again once it warms up.
