I always run into a problem when I try to restring a reel. I always seem to get what I call rats nest, its when the string comes out in clumps. Any suggestions?

I assume your useing a bait caster. You need to able tension on the line when letting it out. Salt water rods I use my thumb, if it's a freshwater reel you need to adjust the tension on the reel to match the lure weight.
