I most often use spinning gear and several finesse presentations. I've done some flyrodding as well, don't do baitcasting. I make jigs of my own design and enjoy sending them out as a hobby. The smallest jig I make has caught 21 species of fish to date and is made with dollar store materials. I also make a good jig by crimping on oval splitshot to jighooks and adding silicone legs and flashabou type material.....both types have done well. My hair jigs have a patch of lighter colored hair at the base of the hook to target the hook and silicone for feelers.....they work well for both large and smallmouth. If you have a jig making forum, kindly let me know. Thanks, and good fishing, Mac (macon123)
