Had a great time catching bass at echo yesterday. I was fishing from the shore and caught 7, all were only about 10 -15' out. The only thing they would take was a nitecrawler rigged to sink between the rocks. I tried a lot of other stuff with no success. I had a little perch colered rapala and they would follow it to shore but not take it.
Most of them were around 10". The biggest one was almost 16" and fat. I guessed about 2.5 lbs maybe more. (my little fish measurer and scale doesn't work very well I use it for the measuring tape). A couple of guys saw me catch him and it looked like they were moving into my spot as I left. I hope they let him go again like I did so he (probably she) can grow up. It sucks when I see people catch a bigger than average fish and keep it to eat. That's what planters are for.
The phone pictures kind of suck.
