[#002850]Well, after about eight months of planning, Roghet, his son Conor, and myself finally made it out to Willard together. It was in the middle of a run of rainy days and so I didn't expect to catch too many fish and my expectations were pretty much right on. We only boated six fish and most were small.
Roghet is finding that fishing is really starting to catch his interest lately and it really showed. He was continually making notes about how to catch fish out on Willard. In addition to taking notes, he also marked some good way points on his GPS.

We weren't able to catch any big fish and the only ones we did catch all came from out in Freeway Bay. That area always seems to produce fish even if they are consistently smaller. If it weren't for Freeway Bay, I think we would have gotten skunked. I wonder where the big ones hang out on days like this. We fished lots of different places on the lake and couldn't find them.

At the cleaning station, I didn't feel so bad because everyone else that came in were empty handed.

The water ranged from about 67 to 71 degrees. Heavy rain fell to the north and south of us but we never got wet.
Sure enjoyed Roghet and Conor's company ... good people. [/#002850]
