well i found the site by word of the store owner when i lived in So Cal through out the 90's.. the store is close to huntington beach and i would stop in about 1 or 2 times a week to get bait on my way to fish the huntington flats and kelp's and brake wall and anywhere in the area that had fish..

I was reading fishing reports on the DWR site and someone had a link to BFT. I went to the link a couple of times then added to favorites and joined a little later.

I was "googling" info on current fishing reports for strawberry, and came across a report from BFT. "Say hello to my little friend". It's been magic ever since.[cool]

I've been on here for YEARS! I was a regular on the old utahfishfinder forums. People kept posting about BFT on there as the flaming was getting out of control. I was really hesitant at first as I really prefer the local only sites. However, I finally jumped ship when that site got really useless and have found that this one is well-moderated and the info here is generally really good, accurate, and specific.
And I just realized that I've been on here way too long. They should give prizes out for people that have been active on here forever.

Frequent reader of Utah fishing forum, then when it blew up I googled and found BFT. At that time there were only a handful of members.

I was coaxed over here from the old DWR forum by my brother. He always said this site was better. He was right, just don't tell him. I still proudly bear my stickers and wear my shirt as I've found this site to be very useful. I have learned more about various types of fishing from BFT members in the last couple years than I did my entire life up until that point. So thanks.[fishin]

When the DWR site shut down a fishing buddy told me about BFT.

FishNCoach:
I was a member of the old Utahfishfinder site, it was going down hill fast when one of the first moderators of the Utah BFT board( Predator) invited me to come over and check it out, that was over 7years ago. After the invite, Kentofnsl and I were the first two to join.

I used to think so, but now that this board is moderated for telling the truth, I don't think so.

I was looking for tips how to fish Lake Mead in Nevada at the time and stumbled across this site. It was great because of all the family I have up North and now I live up here too. Was just great knowledge.
