Just got some news that the family vacation this year will be held at lava hotsprings in August. I need to get some use out of the invasive specie sticker I purchased. I want to take my nephew fishing on the boat. Question is, where is a close place? I can't find chesterfield reservoir on the map, is it any good and where the heck is it? If anyone knows of a place that is close that we can catch some trout, please let me know. Thanks.......Clint

Chesterfield would be your place to go. Head just past lava (assuming you came from I-15). There is a road that goes North of that hwy and will take you up to chesterfield. That's about the best I can do as far as directions. I've only seen it on Google Earth. I'm sure others here can tell you more specifically. Also F&G could tell you specifics or probly most people in Lava could as well.

Just go past the hot springs there is a road N (left) before you start to climb up the hill take that road its about 25 miles from there there are signs that will guide you but there small and brown (sportsman access) signs....
Use worms marsh mellow, or trolling pop gear worms or pop gear spinners...... fish are holding about 20ft tell bout noon and goes to about 35ft some nice fish coming out right now!!! pm if you need more info..
