Thought id just make a report and let everyone know where the cats ARE NOT BITING!! We fished from daybreak untill around 11 am and caught 1 straggler blue weighing about 5 lbs. We were fishing water that was anywhere from 30 to 80 ft. I was marking alot of fish in the 35 to 45 ft range...themocline maybe??? We did happen across one place that had alot of fish on the bottom in 55 to 60 ft and we fished it but never got a nibble. The cats may still be in deep water during the day...but I dont think they are actively feeding in the deep water and may not be feeding on the regular baits right now. After I saw that post the other day where fishnvol saw all those cats hitting mayflies on top water at night ..I think I will change my stradegy. It was great to meet team d (Matt). He is one jam up dude!!! Learned alot..Thanks Matt!! Hopefully we will get back into the big cats soon. All for now..Wade
