Got there about 6 am.. Chummed up the water with some ground frozen sardines. I was using 2 poles and I couldnt keep up! While I would be rebaiting one pole, the other pole was going nuts. Lasted a good 2 hours.. I was using the same rig that I use for stripers in Mojave and I was missing the majority of the fish cuz they are much smaller that most mojave fish. Decided I should downsize hooks and started nailing almost everyone. Caught about 25 stripers and 1 Catfish..Honestly I lost count haha. Stripers were 95% dinks but good pan size nonetheless. Hooked up on 2 really nice fish.. about 3lbs. Gave all my fish to the Latino dudes next to me. They caught a turtle I helped unhook for em.. they were freaking the hell out when they reeled it in. It was classic!!

Also got to witness my first striper boil!! I have never really fished Mead much so I have never witnessed one but that boil was intense! It was all peacful and quiet then all of a sudden about 200 yards off shore there was an explosion of fish. Slapping and jumping, it really did look like water boiling from that distance. Lasted a good 3-5 minutes. Wish I had a boat = /

Only took a couple pics with my phone.. Ran out of memory on it = /. Pics are of one of the dinks and the turtle.

I usually buy 1 bag of frozen sardines and one bag of anchovies. I use the Anchovies for bait and like to chum the water with a bag of ground sardines. The sardines seem to be a bit more oily and a little more smelly when ground up.
