Roger-
SH is best fished from a boat or tube. There is a spot for decent shore fishing there though.
The place I'd recommend for shore fishing at Sand Hollow is the area just south of the boat launch. There is a small bay right next to the ramp that holds fish, then a big rock formation, then another bay/beach area. All this area is in the "no boats" area, so that is nice if you're shore fishing.
I was down there in May in my tube, and that area was the only place I caught fish.
I'm not sure where the bass will be now that it is hot in St. George, maybe others can speak to that.

You can try over on the south east end, there is a road around to that side.. You can wade and fish in the brush with senkos and worms and grubs in greens and browns and spinner baits and first thing in the morning try top water popers and walking baits....

Use waders if you do wade in the southeast corner. That area is where the swimmers itch is most common. Fishing from shore can be as productive as from a boat, in the northwest corner of the lake where the dam and the slickrock meet you can catch fish. If you head around the lake directly east of the boat ramp that area holds a lot of fish. Green plastics, jigs, baby bass crank baits all work well.

Thanks for the help!! Last time i fished there, I just fished off the rocks north of the boat ranmp and cought some mid size LMB. Nothing to big!! This time I am leaving the wife and going fishing for real!! Is the dam the rocks that are just south of the boat ramp?

For the most part you will catch a lot of small and medium sized fish. There are big fish 6lbs but you have to fish hard and get lucky.
