Well the boils are offical but today was not the day for them.
wish I would have been out there the last few days,but we did get into a nice boil after the sun went down.
My self and my son got a late start.But did pretty good for the day we got six to the boat within 45 minutes. and thought I found the spot.but it was short lived and casted for another 1 1/2 without a hit.we then hit different spots all day.with 1 smallie about 3:00PM. at 7:00pm we started looking for boils and found one that lasted 30 minutes of light and we got seven more to the boat.before they shut down and we called it a night.
Fun day with my son even though the fishing wasn't so good.

My son in law, two grandsons, and myself were also at willard last night. Started trolling about 6:00 pm and never had a hit until sun started to set. As we were approaching a flock of birds that appeared to be working a boil I had a hit and one of the grandsons reeled it in(18" wiper). That ended up the only fish for the night. But we did see and work numerous boils after that. They didn't last very long but long enough to get to them and make several casts. They just didn't seem to want what we were throwing. One boat caught a couple using what appeared to be Kastmasters. Then another caught 3 or 4 out of another boil using rattle trap ? and spook ? maybe. I just tied on a spook to try and the wind came up ending the night for us.

Yeah,got a few,couple short lived bites in ten hours of fishing.It was just nice to be out with my son.he wanted to get out of there about two hours before sunset.I told him we should stick around tell dark just to see if we could get on a boil or two.well he was happy after four more fish for him to the boat before we left.There was another boil about fifty yards away in deeper water but the fish we where on just kept coming up so it worked out. I had a hog on and it and went striaght for deep water,drag zinging.got him close, then it came undone. pulled my lure in and it had twisted the snap ring on the front hook wide open.yet again the big fish eludes me. But the last three fish pics where 22" inchers easy,nice fish in the boils.
