Well, got back from the beach about 10pm last night, and logged on to see Jmax was putting on a LEGEND dogfight....called up Hart and he met me at the house at 4 this morning and we headed to HBSP. Hit all of the spots that were so productive last week, only to strike out on all of them. Had a ton of fish slapping at Sammys and Spit&#39;n Images....just wouldn&#39;t commit enough to get a good hook set. Fished the topwater plugs til around 8, then decided to go deeper. Threw C-rigs and Jigs boating a few slicks, and a DD22 with no luck on some ledge shell beds. Went back into the Wolf around 9:30 and didn&#39;t get the first nibble...So we came back out and hit a few deep structure spots, and out a few more dinks in the boat, one that was 14.999999999&quot;, but never could boat a keeper. Dissappointing day, but MAN what a GREAT day to be on the water. Temps in the high 50s at blast off, and right around 80 at the weigh in. Doesnt get much better than that on the 4th of July, and the boat traffic wasn&#39;t bad either for the time we were out. I did meet a big ol&#39; cruiser back in the skinnys of Wolftever right at 9:30 or so....that got my attention REAL quick!<br /><br />Boated a few fish today, mainly on the C-rig and jig, but couldnt find the quality bite. Still had a great time and saw a lot of good folks! Can&#39;t wait til next time! emoAngler
