Wow! I bet a wiper would be dynamite on a fly rod! I've been thinking of trying that, were you on a pontoon boat or a motor boat? Ever tried other flies or is that klauser your producer fly for willard?

Welcome to the site, lot's of good info here, largest in the west[][][], and good on you for landing some wiper, have you fished Willard before?

I was in my float tube around the inlet bouys. Clousers are all I fish for wipers. Either white-on-white or yellow-on-white. A 16 inch wiper fights as good as a 4-5 lb rainbow.

I fish Willard several times a year. I always bleed-out fish that I keep. I believe they taste better that way.
