Fishing Forum

I am going to Fish Lake next week with my family and friends. I normally fish this lake in winter, but am heading down and taking my boat. Any body have a report from Fish Lake? Also, I am a novice Mac fisherman. What lures work well for the Macs and the splake?

My wife is new to fishing and I want to make her trip memorable. Any help would be great.

I went down there last Thursday and Friday. I took my kids, so trolling was a bit too boring for them. Thursday we easily caught more than 100 perch. It was non-stop just on the deep side of the weed bed. On Friday the wind did not let me anchor like I wanted, so we trolled. We ended up with only 4 trout, all rainbows. I probably need a downrigger for the mac's.
