Hey everyone I just moved to Emmett about a year ago where are some good spots?

Sawyers pond, Merrils pond, Airport pond, and just below Black Canyon dam. Just for starters. I live here in Emmett and fish all the time.

Sawyers has Channel cats, nice bass, crappie, pumpkinseed, blue gill and trout. Maybe more types I don't know about?

Below the dam has, Bass, perch and more I am sure. This is all I have caught there so far.

Glad to see you on this site, maybe we can go fishing sometime?

I went to Sawyers pond last night. There were alot of people there. I know there are 3 ponds but i only found two. One had people swimmin in it so I didn't stay there long. I tried some jigs but theres so much vegitation that i kept reelin up 6 feet of weeds. Im thinking about going tonight below the damn. Where abouts to you usually fish there? I was thinking about just going below plaza bridge.

I was there last night at Sawyers and caught 3 fish there. A nice bass, and a big 5.25 lb cat. I was with my Mom under the tree at the first pond. I am going there tonight with my hubby (if he goes) at 6:30 to do some cat fishing. I have some cutbait that I caught all of them on last night.

As far as fishing below the dam, I only have fished the first 150 yards down from it. They say when the water level drops then the fishing is awesome there.

The 3rd pond at Sawyers is up over the hill of the second one. There is another way to get to it from the road. People say that bass fishing there is better? I dunno, I always do better in the 1st pond for the bass.
