I have always wondered about fishing this small yet convenient reservoir. Are there any fish in it? Are they planted bows? Are there some decent sized brookies or native bows there? Are there any restrictions in place? I have been scouring the web for any info, but seem to be coming up short. I know there are other lakes in BCC that seem to only have salamanders (waterdogs) in them, and no fish populus to speak of. Thanks in advance for any information.

I have fished twin before but never caught anything. I believe in the past there has been Lake and brook trout.
Thought I have caught fish out of marys and cathrine lakes. Marys is closer but Cathrine has alot better fishing.

I has been about 20+ years since I have fished Twin but it is very fishable. In fact, one of the biggest trout I ever caught came from there. It was an 18 inch cutt that I caught on a worm.
According to the DWR stocking reports it was last stocked in 2007 with cutts. So they should be of good size by now. I have not known twin to get much fishing pressure, especially from people who know what they are doing.
The last time I was there I did pretty good for cutts in the 11-13 inch range with a small Rapala diving lure. I would have done better if I had a silver one instead of gold. That lake (like Mary) has small minnows and suckers in it. Their color is mostly silvery. You can see schools of the minnows swimming by the bank. In most places the banks are pretty steep so fishing with diving lures works well.
I would also suspect that you could do well in the evenings with a fly and bubble.
I have been meaning to get back up there myself. Good luck to you if you go, and let us know how you do. Oh, just so you know, it is a HIKE getting there, not just a stoll.

I have fished it a couple of time in the last couple of years and have not caught anything nor have I seen any sign of fish except for thousands of minnows.
