Went out to the bear river bird refuge to fish for some cats. Wasn't sure what to expect seems how i've never been out there before. Caught 6 small cats in about an hour and a half (7:35-8:50 P.M.) and couldn't set the hook on a handfull or so. Had a good time. I used a plain old worm and bobber and played around with the depth. Best Depth was about 4 or 5 feet under bobber, but i did have hits between 1 foot and 4 or 5 feet. Sorry no pictures didn't have a camera with me.

The Bear River Bird refuge is at the second exit in Brigram city, go North on I-15 until you come to brigram, at the second exit, go West and you will run right into it. By the way welcome to the site. WH2

hey duck duck... the spot u fished out in the refuge wasnt the main river it is just a canal, and about a quarter mile upstream from where u were fishing that canal the gates are closed... keep driving further out and fish the main river channel.... believe me when u see the river u will know it.. its about 6 times the size of the canal u fished.... that canal sure is chuck full of dinker cats tho!!! i take my lil brother and sister to that one and let them knock the crap outta the lil cats and the carp... the main river has the big boys... if u can figure out where to fish u will catch some beasts!! here is a few pics...
