First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your knowledge and posts. Since I received my float tube I have already constructed a rod holder (PVC) using a combination of all of your ideas.
Recently, I have been setting aside some money for a fish finder. I have an ODC 420 float tube. I have researched the Humminbird fishin Buddy 120 (cheapest model with the sidefinder option) and was wondering what people on this forum thought about the Fishin Buddy's versus ca the Humminbird 565 (similar cost).
I mostly fish in small lakes or ponds with spinning rods or a fly rod (bass, trout, panfish, crappie and hopefully some cats). Since I will be targeting many fish along the shore area I have become enamoured with the sidefinding ability of the fishin buddy. What are your opinions? The 120 is ~$180 and the 565 is ~$200. Are the piranhamaxs worth considering? Thanks
