Been having some really bad luck catching bass from the shore. Thinking bout heading up to Jordanelle in the morning. Thinking somewhere along the North East side. Any tips would be helpful.

Very good location,Try the old road bed, they seem to hang on the outside edge of it.Plan to loose allot of jigs,it's knarly in there but it is every where.Try the blue magic Maniac minnow you will get some.just throw it parallel to the shore and slow retrieve it. don't let it get to the bottom though it will get snagged.I also like to use the little eagle claw spinners so you can make it into a small spinner bait, tip it with worm and catch more fish.
Good luck

[#500000]If you hike down that Ross Creek trail. do you come down to the water?.....I went there earlier in the year and there were no parking signs and fences all over the place..........WW.[/#500000]

Funny thing about bass fishermen we buy expensive boats and big motors and zip around the lake at crazy speeds and when we get ready to fish where do we go?.. THE SHORE dont make any sense does it, sounds like youve picked a good area for tackle I would try a pop-r texas rigged seinkos or even a small suspending jerkbait, somebody give bassrods a buzz he knows that lake better than anybody if anbody can hook ya up its him

haha yea isnt that the truth. You're on the shore and try to throw it as far away from shore as possible, when youre in a boat, you throw it as close to shore as possible. how weird are we [:p]

It is truely a weird concept to throw furthest from the shore to the lake or the lake to the shore. Bassrods for sure has already helped out with as many posts as he makes about the many times he goes to that lake and I am greatful for a man that can give subtle hints without giving away his favorite spots. One of these years I'll end up with a boat and be able to ride the open waters just to come back to the shore. The benefit of a boat is being able to go a little deeper to find the big ones! Till then I'm going to try to do as much exploring around the lake that I can and find some favorite spots before I get a boat.
