Rockport trout are working pretty good. Saturday gave two of us a limit from 6:30am till 8:30am including about 4 boat-side releases and 3 or 4 short takes.
We fished hammered nickle spoons tipped with a piece of worm. Keep the worm short enough not to impede the spoon action. Trolled at 1.3 mph.
We used lead line - down 3 colors.
Tried to find perch for about an hour on the south end but kept catching trout and small bass.
We quit at 9:30am. It gets real crowded real quick on weekends and dodging others and dealing with the other recreational craft isn't my idea of fun.
