Mosquitos Mosquitos Mosquitos!!!!!! Holy crap mosiquitos!!!!! The worst I have ever seen! This isn't my actual report I will post that tomorrow we didn't be back until late this morning so I'm beat but I'll let you know we landed quite a few salmon a couple of bruisers some jacks and a couple of average fish. I will post a full report tomorrow with great pictures. Oh and one more thing fishing for kings with 15 pound test line is not a smart idea they Are the most powerful fresh water fish I have ever felt even stronger than a 27 pound carp

sounds like you had fun. I think I've got my wife talked into going up this coming weekend. Hopefully I can get her into a fish or two. I agree with the power thing. Steelie fishing is going to be a little different after tying into one of those chinook up there that is for sure. That's one more thing that I need is to become addicted to fishing for chinook up there! My wife is already about to divorce me over all the time I want to spend up there during the spring and fall.[crazy] Anyway, congrats and can't wait to hear your fishing report!

Sounds like you guys had a great time-

Do you know if there are any fish being aught in the Stanley area- or is it a Challis show only? I'm headed to Stanly for an archery event this weekend, wondering if I ought to head up early with a few cans of oily tuna-

hope you make it back up there- good luck!

i never went up stanley way but from what the guy in the tackle store told me he said there are more ppl upriver from challis than down. It sounds like its going to close sooner than down river also.

Thanks-

Made it up for the bowhunter Jamboree this weekend in Stanley. fished a few hours Friday, but no luck. Didn't see anybody with conventional tackle doing any good, but the Natives were doing well just below the hatery. I was really surprised at the size of the fish- really nice ones.
