Took the kids and grandma to Bruneau Dunes to swim and play in the sand on Sunday. After the storm went through we headed out to the dock behind the observatory. Started off with worms but they really started hitting on the salmon eggs. All the kids and grandma caught a few small to mediums, and my 8-yr old daughter caught one of the biggest I've seen, around 9 inches and fat. He was delicious. If you are looking for a place to take kids, I highly recommend Bruneau. They don't even have to cast, just drop the hooks right off the dock. I was so busy baiting hooks and untangling lines I only cast a few times for bass with no bites on a Rapala.

Holy cow I went down there a few weeks ago and only caught a few small ones! ! ! Then got home and both of my dogs got really sick! I called the Vet and he said what ever people do is do not let the dogs in the water as there is a BAD PERISITE in the water. My dogs did not even go in the water just drank it from the fresh water at the camp ground... BE CAREFUL EVERYONE! ! !
