second if you are a fly fisherman or an aspiring one looking to catch some fish on dry flys now is the time to do it on the southfork. i went up last night i got to the river at 5:00 pm and stayed till dark man i caught some fish i found a good riffle by hiese that was loaded with feeding trout every cast i had a rise. i was using two flies mainly a pmd cripple(a small yellow or pink mayfly) and a chernoble ant pattern that i put my own twist on ive been calling it the banana cream pie! but basicly any chernoble ant pattern with a yellow underside and tan foam always produces fish for me. i also caught a few fish on a yellow sally then i broke it off in a fishes mouth then 2 hours later i caught the same fish and got my fly back lol i thought that was awesome. so head up anywhere on the south fork hiese or above and giver heck gentlemen. oh and one mor thing there is a log down in the water by the falls in swan valley that has sunk three boats this week its on the left hand side by the falls so be very carefull when floating this stretch. this has sucked typing this much on my ipod so by[laugh]
