I would like publicly thank IDFG and Commissioners or however made it possible for allowing the anglers the opportunity to participate in a great Chinook season on the Upper Salmon.

My Father and I camped at Deer Gulch and it was great ( barring the plaque of mosquitoes). The rest room was kept clean and kids doing the surveys were very friendly and gave a lot of good info.

The whole experience was great, even if I lost my prescription glasses. Everyone was enjoying themselves and everyone I talked to seemed to having a good time and were all friendly.

We had a lot of hookups and came home with 8, two were 36" and were all nice fish. I actually hooked up 4 times in four casts, it doesn't get any better than that!

We normally go to California on the Feather for the summer run but they have closed it due to lack of fish. Fishing there was totally different, I have witnessed fights among the guys and watched a women steal a guys pole while he was down netting a fish for a friend. If the boats get to close to the bank the "Bankies" throw rocks and cuss you. There was none of that going on and people were even patient with the boats roaring through hole.

once again Thanks!

I'm with you. It didnt sound like the season was going to be very long with the smaller than predicted number of fish, and if the number of jacks are have anything to do with next years run it could be one of the best yet. The jacks are bigger than i have normal from what the f&g told me. They are saying next years could be 3 lb heavier on average than this years.
