I need some help. I need to get the patterns for a neon nightmare and a twizzler. Anyone give me the recipes? I am planning an all day fishing on the Weber and need these two for early morning. Thanks.

Then you better tie plenty for both you...LOL
I am interested if you could PM me a picture or at least recipe. I will share my KILLER Damsel nymph, that proved itself over and over this last weekend.

I always tie extra in the off chance that a fellow fly-fisher is in need. [sly]
FG, I think that I already sent you the Neon Nightmare pattern, but I will send the green twizzler. I think that it is usually tied red (hence the name), but I have had great luck with a green version on the Weber.

I would love to see that damsel pattern. I was at flygoddess' favorite lake and the Damsels were so thick you could walk accross their backs, but my patern wasn't working very well.

My favorite lake? Which one, I have a few...LOL
I was at an IDAHO lake this weekend and as you said the DAMSELS were thick as heck. But only at certain times which was good. But man they were driving me nuts for awhile.
I was fishing my damsel nymph right off the bottom (30')
I will pm you the fly.

I'd love to see it as well if you don't mind sharing. I have a few damsels I like to use, but always like getting new ideas!

Well i feel stupid i have never even heard of a twizzler or a neon Nightmare.
I would like to see these flies but if its a secret thats ok to. I was fishing idaho this weekend to.

I never even thought of using twizzlers as a fly! lol! I figure fish would love them as much as I do. [laugh]
They sound like interesting flies (the names and all). Must be productive judging from the secrecy. [

I tell you guys what, the best flie I have found for damsel larvae is what me and buds refer to as the "s..t" fly. (you can feel in the dots). We call it that cause it is basically a large BH hares ear that we tie so fast, it looks like s..t! lol! And it kills them when trailed behind any bugger on any lake that has damsels. I had one day at Deseret where I literally thought I was going to have to have my shoulder scoped because it was so worn out from using the s..t fly!
