Hey guys

I am studying a bachelor of product design and my current project is to redesign a new fishfinder using blue sky and out of the box creative thinking, so the questions I want to pose to you all is where would you like to see GPS/Fish finders/chartplotters heading as the advancement of technology continues ie what sort of improvements could be made?? And what are some of the flaws of those that are on the market now (especially user interaction)?? Any input would be greatly appreciated and will help determine the final concept that I will pitch to this major GPS company.

Cheers.

You could have a really hot chick walk across the screen to point out the hotspots. Need to give her a sexy voice to. And whenever you power the unit on she could say "Hey there big boy wanna go fishing!"

LMAO ok im trying to be a funny guy, but you know that thing would fly off the shelves!

I'd say that Lowrance with their new HD Series and their new Structure Scanning has most of what I like pretty much covered.

The only thing I can see is the price is way to high for me and will have to pass on them for now. Hopefully I'll win the lottery some day. [laugh]

How about a side scan thats 3D. I agree the costs are really high for a good unit. Make a finder that has gps and side scan for around $500.00 and it would fly off the shelfs. The hot chick won't hurt .[Wink]
