We put in at Soddy around 7 am and made a run to a hole that has been producing for Jake in the evenings. Its a shallow shelf next to 50f water and we thought the fish may still be up in the shallows. No luck there. We marked a bunch of fish along the drop off so we started throwing T rigged worms. I caught 2 Dinks of that ledge then the wind picked up and we couldn't stay in place. Then we decided to run to the nuke and see if anything was schooling. The white bass were there, just not as frequently as in the past few weeks. You would get about 2 min of action on topwater and then they'd move. One of the batteries was bad so the trolling motor wasn't pulling good. We gave up trying and went back up river to fish some more deep humps. Jake pulled one up on his first cast, then nothing. IT WAS SLOW!! On our way to the ramp, we stopped at a few docks. Couldn't get a bite and we kept getting blown away from the docks. I saw a little brush pile go by on the sonar and flipped right behind the boat and BAM, this nice 2 1/2 lbr hit. It fought like a much bigger fish, even pulling drag once or twice. Got him to the boat and released him to get fatter.

ALl in all it was a nice day except for the wind and dead battery. It didn't get too hot until right around 1pm.
