Maybe it just wasn't my day today, but Strawberry was dead for me. We got on the lake around 6:15am and fished until 11:00am. The fishing was good but the catching was dismal as we only got one 11" cutthroat, one 14" rainbow, and two large chubs. I wasn't even getting hits. This was the slowest day on Strawberry for me in several years. I don't recall ever not catching a cutthroat in the slot at the berry.

I had my young kids with me so we trolled seven lines: Three on top, two leaded-line, and two on the downriggers. I threw every lure at them. The only thing that gave any action were the tasmanian devils and the rapalas.

The crawdads made the day though. There is nothing like the look on a kids face when he pulls up a trap full of those water-roaches.

I feel your pain i was out there today too and did not do too good either . It was a beautiful day though to bad the fishies did not want to play today. The ones i caught were not even aggresive i had a lot of taps but no grabs on my jigs.
