Okay so I am pretty new to casting, still getting down the basics. Anyways I have a couple questions for you guys:
1) Im using the Daiwa Exceler reel with 12 lb test line, and am having a little bit of a problem with getting the dreaded bird nest. I set the deal on the right side of the reel (the little knob, not the brake) to let the lure down to the ground very slowly so nothing spools out. (I think that is the correct way to do it) but still seem to get a birds nest in 1 out of 15 or 20 casts. Any tips?
2) I dont know exactly what the brake on the right side does (its numbered 1 to 10) and how to set it, I always thought it was the fine tuning part of the knob on the right if that makes any sense. But im probably wrong.
Thanks a lot for your help guys!
