Went up to PaliSades to do some R&R. Not a bad day at all. Very busy with all the skiers, etc. Fished the South bank, why'll kids skied. Caught 4 chubs and quickly put an end to there misery, giving the Seagulls and Osprey an easy meal. Got off the water at 7:00 PM at Calamity. One boat in front of us at the deep end of the dock waiting for Husband to bring down the Trailer. I pulled in front of her, as there is room for three boats on one side. She said that's my husband waiting for me. I said "Well if you would have moved up to the loading area you wouldn't be behind me." Husband comes running down the dock, hops in boat, goes around us, then when boat is halfway on Trailer he puts full throttle on and trys his darndest to get us wet. All of our stuff is on the ramp dock as we were unloading so my Bro could go back and get the kids we left on the bank. Welllll the A-- did not get us wet at all, but he sure did make me mad. I should have walked over there and knocked him out. What a creep. I'm glad all Idahoans are not like this A--.

Friends got off the lake a half hour before us and they were trolling and came out with 4 browns and 7 Rainbows at the average size. Gave us 9 of them. Took em to dad's house cleaned em and gave 6 to my Bro. I will eat the other three tonight.

Best of luck to you all.....[Image: bobwink.gif]

Trust me.. there are Idahans, Utahans, Wyomingns etc... like this .. There are a few EVERYWHERE..

More than a few! Seems worse during the ski season. However, I have been known to take advantage of it. It's cheap entertainment to go to Lucky Peak and watch the ramp at sundown. [Image: happy.gif]

Ramp-rage is a serious disease that affects all of us from time to time. I dont understand why you cant just put your boat in or take it out and get out of the way...be considerate of others using the facility, but nooo. I have seen several fistfights at the boat ramp back east. Incredible. I have a word for those guys..it's called being a RAMP-HOLE !!!

I have seen this many times also. It seems the people that have this ramp rage are the same people that should not own a boat in the first place. They are the inconsiderate a*******es that buzz the fishermen, think its cool to drink and drive, or want to ski/wakeboard right by the dock. They are the ones who it takes 3 attempts or more to get the boat on the trailer correctly and then they sit there and load/unload the boat and BS with their other friends at the same time while 4 others boats are waiting to load/unload.

The only thing I hate more than ramp-holes are the idiots that fish from the dock and will not move or the family with 10 kids that think they should let all 10 kids dive/swim/play off the loading dock and leave their towles/tubes/shoes/lunch/lounge chairs/etc all over the dock.

I have learned to load everything before hitting the ramp. Plugs in, top up, poles loaded, groceries in. It takes me about 1 min to unload and maybe 2 mins to load. The sooner I am out of there, the lower the chance I will have to deal with one of the ramp-holes.

This can be a real problem. I hit the lake only on weekdays to avoid lake lice. If I do encounter them the best defense is a good offense; i.e. "wow, nice boat";, "how's the skiing?"; in other words I try to disarm so I don't have to arm myself. Too old and too wise to bite...
