[#008000]Sunday, I originally had plans to do a little hardware fishing in the afternoon, but a call and an arm twist or two from a fellow BFT'er fishing buddy changed that to a mid-morning outing on Utah Lake to see if we could take his little puppy out and herd up some cats.[/#008000]

[#008000]We arrived sometime between about 10 and 11 to basically find a windless sea of glass with virtually no other boats on the lake. After taking a moment to appreciate the perfect weather and the out of the ordinary solitude on UL, we then headed out to wrangle a few of the feline-like fish. [/#008000]

[#008000]As soon as we got to our first destination, I flung some light weight metal to pick up some fresh bait while my co-cat-wrangler was gearing up his heavier rigs . I got several white bass in the boat and probably could have caught a good number more, but, having had a big bass day last weekend, I commenced to rig up the catfish rods instead to pursue something with a little more size.[/#008000]

[#008000]B4B was first to capitalize with 3 consecutive nice sized catfish in relatively rapid succession. I only felt left out of the process for a little while though as it didn't take too long for me to hook up on one. After a short time, it appeared as though we had gathered up all the active ones in that area and moved out. Stopping in several more places, we rounded up strays here and there at every spot we anchored. Then, in the afternoon when the wind started to pick up a bit, we called it a day.[/#008000]

[#008000]Total tally for the few hours we fished; 10 channels - the largest just under 10 lbs with another close behind. several more in the 6 - 8 pound range, a few 3 - 5 pounders and a half dozen pretty nice white bass. We took home 4 of the smallest catfish and released all of the big ones so they could eat some more carp. [/#008000]
