Sorry for the late report. Rob and I headed down lake and our first stop produced a small keeper in the first 5 minutes on a carolina rigged magnum fluke. We were looking for jumps but the fish only surfaced a couple of times and Rob boated a slick and there were no other takers so we moved to a flat near deep water and hit a couple brush piles with no luck. We spent the next several hours hitting points with brush and docks only to miss many, many strikes. The fish just would not commit to the bait, even when it felt like they nailed it.emoScratch This went on all night and included two fish I had on a jig with a good thump and good hookset, and they just came unbuttoned about half way to the boat.emoConfused emoBeer Rob finally boated our second and last keeper about 1:30 as we were cleaning up behind Wiskers and the "Legend" around HB. The highlight of the night was me telling Jmax we were fishing a tx and wanted his spot. He wouldn't oblige, so I threw over his line and he was gracious enough to let me have my jig back.emoAngelemoBeer emoBeer It was tough night of catching, but a wonderful night on the lake with a good friend and the fellowship before blastoff was entertaining and enjoyable. It was a special honor to have our very own Fat Albert grace us with an appearance at sign-in. Thanks to all that fished and congrats to all those that placed. Al
